Due to its connection with Kawasaki Daishi Heiken-ji Temple in Kanagawa Prefecture, this Fudō Myōō statue was established at the summit of Fuji-san in front of the temple gate, and a grand festival is held every year on this day. Yamabushi monks dressed in white robes head from the town toward the summit of Mt. Fuji, with the sound of conch shells as their signal. At the summit, a Great Gomafu Fire Ritual is performed, and an annual memorial service in which Fudō Myōō subjugates evil spirits and earthly desires is held. Additionally, every five years, there is a procession of children.
