～Grandly with Stalls and Mikoshi (Portable Shrines)～ On the 25th (Friday), the "Miyadashi/Deigyosa/Machikai Watashi," which marks the departure ceremony of the summer festival, will be held at Oomae Shrine. During the Deigyosa following the Miyadashi, many people participate to pray for the safe procession of mikoshi and stalls, a bountiful harvest, the warding off of epidemics, and the development of industry. Afterwards, the Machikai Watashi takes place, and the mikoshi and stalls parade through the city. On the 26th (Saturday), the city center becomes a pedestrian zone, and the "Festival Plaza" is held. Starting with the main and Aramiya mikoshi, children's mikoshi, regional mikoshi, junior high students' mikoshi, floats, stalls, and many musical performances add color and excitement to the festival. In the evening, a fireworks display will be held, further enlivening the summer festival. On the final day, the 27th (Sunday), a traditional Miyairi procession and vigorous Miyairi parade are held, along with performances of festival music ("ohayashi") and "Buttsuke" by the festival floats and stalls.
