You can enjoy as many as 15,000 fireworks on a grand scale, making this an event rarely seen even nationwide. In 2008, they succeeded in launching the first ever “shakudama” (30-inch firework shell) in northeastern Tohoku during the Heisei era. There is also a special 20th anniversary project, a joint performance of “shakudama” by fireworks artists who have won the Prime Minister’s Award at the Omagari Fireworks Festival.
