Would you like to gaze at the Milky Way and a sky full of stars at SORA terrace? SORA terrace satisfies the best conditions for stargazing: it is at a high altitude, free from city lights, and the air is clear. From here, you can see the Milky Way overhead with the naked eye. You can enjoy stargazing anywhere on the summit at SORA terrace. The plaza in front of SORA terrace cafe (the lawn area) is the event space for stargazing sessions. ◇ Lawn Area ◇ This area is the darkest and offers the best view of the starry sky. You are welcome to bring leisure sheets or outdoor chairs and reserve a spot. If you wish to listen to the star guide’s commentary, stay near the café side of the lawn area; if you prefer to quietly gaze at the stars, the back of the lawn area is recommended. ◇ Hammock & Chair Area ◇ Hammocks for relaxing and reclining chairs are available in limited quantities so you can gaze at the stars comfortably. As this area is in front of the café entrance, there is a bit of light, so if you want to enjoy the stars quietly, please go to the lawn area. *Please note that the hammock and chairs can break easily if swung vigorously. Please use them gently. ◇ Rocky Area ◇ This area features natural rocks forming steps. You can sit down, lay back, or enjoy the area as the shapes of the rocks allow. *It becomes very dark at night, and the unevenness of the rocks is hard to see. Be sure to illuminate your feet with a light and check your steps as you move about.
