The Tanabata event "Kira Kira Milky Way" held at Kyūhōji Ryokuchi Park features star illuminations that decorate the park on summer nights. As the sun sets, the lights come on and glowing stars hung on nets color the night sky. Visitors can stroll freely around the park while feeling the evening breeze and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the venue, different areas are transformed into zones decorated with various star-shaped illuminations and Milky Way-inspired installations. Each location features different colors and styles of light-ups, with perfect photo spots scattered throughout. To celebrate Tanabata, there is also a special area where you can write your wishes on strips of paper (tanzaku) and send them off. A special experience awaits where you can create unique memories. When you visit, we recommend walking slowly with your loved ones, chatting or taking commemorative photos together under the flowing Milky Way.
