Summer Grand Festival of Hainan Shrine
海南神社の夏の例大祭
A traditional festival known for the "Oneri Shishi" (Lion Dance Parade). Two lions parade lively through shopping streets and residential areas, warding off demons and misfortune to the accompaniment of woodblock music. Following the lions is a portable shrine (mikoshi), and the festivities are enlivened by the sounds of drums and shouts.
