The festival is held on the first weekend of August every year, and the most popular event is the fireworks display at Fujigahama in Susaki Port. Taking advantage of the location, fireworks such as marine fireworks, starmine, and 20-shaku (size) fireworks burst into a multitude of floral patterns across the night sky. Shikoku's only spectacular 20-shaku fireworks are especially impressive; the large blossoms that spread across the entire night sky are sure to move everyone who sees them.
