At the festival held at Yamana Shrine in the Kamiyamanashi district, the rituals integrate Goryo belief and the spiritual power of water, performing "misogi" to cleanse impurities. This ceremony serves to ward off pests and disasters in rural areas. During the festival, there are parades of floats, and the Tengu (an incarnation of Sarutahiko Okami) walks around, tapping heads with a nandina stick for the wish of good health.
