Fujita Memorial Garden Free Admission Day
藤田記念庭園 無料開放日
The free admission day at the Fujita Memorial Garden is a special occasion held on the last Sunday of June every year. This garden, reminiscent of the Edo period, boasts an expansive site with a landscape full of charm, making it one of the largest in the Tohoku region. There are also free guided tours available by advance reservation, where you can learn in detail about the garden’s history and highlights. The garden is divided into areas unique to Japanese gardens, such as ponds, pathways, seasonal plants, and a refined tea house area, each offering its own distinct appeal. After climbing the hillside path, there is also an area where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Hirosaki City, making your stroll even more enjoyable. Special events limited to the free admission day are also planned, offering unique experiences only available on that day. You won’t want to miss the traditional cultural experiences and the viewing of seasonal flowers. If I were to recommend the best way to spend your time, it would be to join a guided tour by reservation and leisurely stroll through the garden while listening to talks from gardeners and experts. Please fully enjoy the unique Japanese beauty here with all your senses.
