Lord Akechi Mitsuhide Memorial Association Forum

明智光秀公顕彰会フォーラム
At Saikyo-ji, the bodaiji temple of Akechi Mitsuhide and his clan, June 14 is designated each year as the memorial day of Lord Akechi Mitsuhide. Descendants of Lord Mitsuhide, people from regions connected to him, fans of Mitsuhide, and history enthusiasts gather from all over the country to hold a forum. From 1:00 PM, a memorial service is held for Lord Akechi Mitsuhide, his clan, and his retainers; from 2:00 PM, a site briefing is given on the discovery of the Sakamoto Castle stone walls, which made headlines last year. At that on-site briefing, approximately 2,000 people rushed in from across the nation. We will welcome Mr. Aruya Okada from the Otsu City Cultural Properties Protection Division, who was in charge of the on-site briefing, to give a lecture. Members of the general public are also welcome to attend, so please join us.
