Our School: The World of Watercolor Paintings by Yuzo Oda
ぼくとわたしの学校 小田裕三が描く水彩画の世界展
Within the quietly blending paints, the gaze of a teacher and feelings for the children are reflected…
Yuzo Oda, an art teacher who has continued to depict elementary and junior high schools in Sasebo. His works, along with nostalgic images of school buildings, deliver to us the warmth of Showa-era schools and everyday memories. Not only for generations who long for Showa days, but also for today's children, we invite you to see the "heart of education" flowing through his gentle brushstrokes.
In June, a month that feels the changing seasons, why not trace back memories of schooldays, surrounded by watercolors?
This exhibition will showcase about 40 watercolor paintings of elementary and junior high schools in Sasebo City.
