Numata Festival
沼田まつり
Numata Festival is a grand event in which all citizens of Numata participate, formed by the integration of Suga Shrine's "Gion Festival," which originated in the Edo period, and the "Numata Festival Commerce and Industry Festival." It has long been affectionately called "Ogyon," and each year attracts more than 200,000 visitors.
Place：Central area of Numata City, Gunma Prefecture (Main venue: former site of the Central Community Center / Festival plaza: Tengu Plaza and the former site of the Central Community Center)
Transportation：15 minutes on foot from JR Joetsu Line Numata Station 10 minutes by car from Kan-Etsu Expressway Numata IC
