5th Anniversary! Shikoku Aquarium GO
5周年記念!四国水族館GO
The Shikoku Aquarium, opened in 2020 in Utazu Town, Kagawa Prefecture, located at the foot of the Seto Ohashi Bridge—the gateway to Shikoku, features about 400 species based on the theme of "Shikoku Waterscapes." The aquarium not only displays living creatures but also recreates environments connected to the culture of Shikoku and the daily lives of its people inside the tanks.
To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Shikoku Aquarium, this special exhibition spotlights echinoderms such as sea urchins, starfish, and sea cucumbers, which are characterized by their "pentamerous radial symmetry"—a feature linked to the number five, in line with the anniversary theme. The exhibition introduces the unexpected relationship between echinoderms and the number "5" from the unique perspective of the aquarium's animal care staff.
■ Black Sea Cucumber Curry (Image 3)
On the 2nd floor at Food Court Kitchen Setouchi, a special limited-edition curry inspired by echinoderm sea cucumbers is available. The dish features black curry poured over a bacon potato dog to resemble a sea cucumber, with rice below to evoke the sea floor—an eye-catching and impactful curry you should definitely try.

Fourteen main visual posters from previous special exhibitions are on display.
