Special Exhibition : ICE AGE – Discover the World 40,000 Years in the Past

特別展「氷河期展 ~人類が見た4万年前の世界~」

Time slip back 40,000 years!

The glacial period 40,000 years ago was much colder than today and was an era when humans and large animals such as mammoths coexisted.
Some of them became extinct, while others survived.
This exhibition explains the animals and humans that lived during this time, and explores the mysteries of the Ice Age that determined their fate.
Highlights include the first public display in Japan of actual Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon skulls.
Also, come and experience the massive size of Ice Age megafauna firsthand at the venue!
