In Sayo Town, a nature-rich area located in the western part of Hyogo Prefecture, the "Sayo Town Nanko Sunflower Festival" is held every summer, featuring approximately 700,000 blooming sunflowers! On the final day, a fireworks display is also held, making it a perfect event to create summer memories. We warmly invite you to visit Sayo Town.
■ 740,000 Sunflowers in Full Bloom
In four districts within the town, sunflowers bloom sequentially at different times. You can enjoy the majestic natural scenery unique to each district.
Hayasaki District: July 19 (Sat) – 26 (Sat) 290,000 sunflowers
Higashi-Toku District: July 27 (Sun) – August 3 (Sun) 220,000 sunflowers
Urushino (Honmura) District: August 4 (Mon) – 10 (Sun) 130,000 sunflowers
Urushino (Dan) District: August 7 (Thu) – 13 (Wed) 100,000 sunflowers
■ Local Gourmet Delights
At the "Tent Village," you can savor local specialties such as Sayo's famous "Hormone Yaki Udon," freshly picked local vegetables, and processed products made from sunflowers, all offering seasonal flavors on the spot.
■ Fireworks Display Illuminating the Night Sky Over the Sunflower Fields
On the final day of the sunflower festival, August 3 (Sun), a fireworks display will be held. Approximately 800 fireworks will light up the night sky over the sunflower fields.
