富山から、ともに、前へ。 For well-being x For Nature The Toyama Marathon, which began in 2015 with the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, will celebrate its memorable 10th event in 2025. The charm of the Toyama Marathon lies in its beautiful and majestic scenery. The course allows runners to fully experience nature, history, and culture, passing by Toyama Bay, a member of the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club," the Tateyama Mountain Range with peaks over 3,000 meters, and the Takaoka Great Buddha, one of Japan's three great Buddhas, all while enjoying the stunning views. With a generous time limit of approximately 7 hours, even beginners can aim to finish! One of the highlights, the Shinminato Ohashi Bridge, presents the greatest challenge due to its significant elevation difference, but the panoramic view from the top is an indescribable thrill. Since it is usually a road exclusively for automobiles, running on it is a unique attraction of the Toyama Marathon. Additionally, participants are welcomed with Toyama's unique refreshments and various support events incorporating traditional culture. Furthermore, since last year, the "Toyama Marathon SDGs Declaration" has been upheld, implementing initiatives such as plogging and food drives to achieve the SDGs.
