At the Hachiryujinja Reitaisai, you can enjoy Japanese traditional culture through the Haneda Daitaikagura. This kagura was transmitted from Kyoto and is designated as an intangible folk cultural asset of Otawara City. After the Shinto rituals, a naorai is held, followed by a dance wishing for a good harvest, accompanied by the sounds of flutes and drums. People from various regions gather at the shrine, witnessing the richness of Japan’s seasons. The kagura performed by actors with special skills is the highlight of the event, which can only be participated in during a limited period.
