Takada's Night Festival

高田の夜祭り
Takada's Night Festival is a summer festival held in the beautiful precincts of the historic Takada-san Senshuji Temple. The festival originated from the Kenchi Festival, held in memory of Kenchi Shonin. Especially on the night of August 1st, it attracts many worshippers. During the festival, numerous stalls open within the temple grounds, selling Obon-related items such as incense and joss sticks. It’s an event where attendees can enjoy shopping and visiting the temple whilst feeling the history. The festival is held at Senshuji Temple, a nationally designated historic site, with convenient access from Moka Railway's Jinna Station or the Kita-Kanto Expressway Moka IC. Participating in the bustling night of this exclusive festival experience is highly recommended. Enjoy the historical and culturally rich night temple grounds, and make sure not to miss this special moment to fully savor the festival.
