The "Sapporo Lilac Festival" will be held again this year!
The lilac was chosen as Sapporo's tree in Showa 35 and has become a beloved tree among citizens, commonly seen in gardens everywhere.
In the "Odori Venue," where approximately 400 lilacs are in full bloom, various events such as the Lilac Music Festival, Wine Garden, and Stamp Rally are held. The "Kawashimo Venue," added from the 50th event, hosts the Lilac Tour and Kawashimo Park Concerts among other events.
For Sapporo citizens, this festival marks the fanfare of finally being freed from the long winter of over half a year, ushering in the season to enjoy outdoor strolls. We invite you to attend!
