This is a Shinto ritual that has continued since the Edo period. By passing through a 2-meter diameter ring made of bamboo, straw, and thatch, it is believed to remove the sins and calamities unknowingly committed in daily life, allowing people to spend the second half of the year starting July 1 with a purified body and mind.
