Expo Commemoration Park Hydrangea Festival
万博記念公園 あじさい祭
At the "Hydrangea Festival" in Expo '70 Commemorative Park, about fifty varieties of hydrangeas in various colors vividly brighten up the rainy season in the "Nature and Culture Park - Hydrangea Forest." This year, new varieties have been added, making it attractive to enjoy different scenery and atmospheres every time you visit. The venue is easily accessible from the Osaka Monorail "Banpaku-Kinen-Koen Station" or "Koen-Higashiguchi Station," and it's also possible to stop by surrounding facilities.
In the Hydrangea Forest, you can compare the subtle color differences and flower shapes of each variety or enjoy photography. You can also experience the moist and serene landscape after the rain while strolling through the park.
This event features newly exhibited varieties exclusive to this year, offering encounters with hydrangeas you’ve never seen before. Rare and uniquely blossoming varieties are also a delight for returning visitors who come every year.
Since you’re making the trip, it’s recommended to take a walk either first thing in the morning or just after the rain. In the quiet atmosphere, slowly savor the colorful hydrangeas and find your own personal favorite spot.
