Chagu Chagu Umako

チャグチャグ馬コ
An event to comfort the horses that share the labor with the farmers. The horses are adorned in luxurious costumes and numerous bells, and proceed on a pilgrimage to the shrine. About 100 horses, decorated splendidly and jingling with "Chagu Chagu" sounds, march the 14km journey from Onikoshi Sozen Shrine in Takizawa City to Hachimangu Shrine in Morioka City.

Place:From Onikoshi Sozen Shrine to Morioka Hachimangu Shrine (about 13 km)

Transportation:30 minutes by bus from JR Morioka Station "Takizawa Eigyosho" bus stop, 20 minutes on foot ( Access to the starting point Onikoshi Sozen Shrine) 20 minutes by car from Tohoku Expressway Morioka IC ( Access to the starting point Onikoshi Sozen Shrine)
