The Ayu Festival of Seiryu Miyama has been held annually since 1984 with the aim of promoting exchanges between urban and rural areas. The main event is catching Ayu fish, along with numerous food stalls, bingo games, rice cake pounding, and Bon Odori dances, allowing tourists and locals to interact and enjoy the rural summer. The festival is a representative event of Miyama. Fireworks are also displayed at night, and it's a great idea to stay overnight with your family at the Miyama Town Nature Culture Village, where there's a campsite.
