The 'Omuta 'Orochi Mountain' Festival', a representative traditional event of Ōmuta, will be held over a week. This is a festival event where a float shaped like a giant serpent, approximately 10 meters long and 5 meters wide, parades through the area with blazing smoke. The event kicks off with the 'Minato Festival', followed by 'Revitalization Events' and 'Cultural Hall Events'. The highlight occurs during the two climax days with the 'Taishō-machi Festival Square Events', during which the giant serpent float tours the town. The entire town is enveloped in a festive atmosphere.
