The largest festival in the district, "Fukuro Matsuri," is held every year in two parts: "Mikoshi Festival" in September and "Dance Festival" in October. The second part, "Dance Festival," features traditional dances such as Kappore, Sado Okesa, and Ikebukuro Yassa Odori, culminating in the "Tokyo Yosakoi Contest." Tokyo Yosakoi started as a popular event in the 32nd "Fukuro Matsuri" in Heisei 10. In 2024, 9 more teams and 720 more participants joined compared to last year, making a total of 112 teams with nearly 5000 participants.
