Banmanko
万人講
Banmanko is held twice a year on April 20th and October 20th.
The vegetarian dishes served in red trays are famously known for their blessings in fortune, protection against evil spirits, and particular efficacy against strokes, attracting large crowds from neighboring areas. Additionally, only on the day of Banmanko is the statue of "Bodhidharma"—said to be Japan's oldest Daruma statue and an important cultural property—specially displayed.
