The festival is also called the "Wedding Procession Festival" because it combines the sacred objects of Atsuta Shrine and Yakumo Shrine, which are affectionately known as "Tenno-sama," into one. It is counted among the top ten festivals in the prefecture. The festival reaches its peak when eight festival floats, paraded through each district, gather at the Tenno Street shopping district, the main festival venue! A rhythmic performance of flutes and drums then begins.
