Special Exhibition "Insect MANIAC"
特別展『昆虫 MANIAC』
The special exhibition "INSECT MANIAC" is an event exploring the diversity of insects, held at the Osaka Museum of Natural History. It introduces how insects make up more than half of all living species on Earth, with extremely diverse and intricate body structures and behaviors.
At the venue, collections carefully selected by researchers from the National Museum of Nature and Science and rare insect specimens based on the latest research are on display. In addition to familiar insects such as beetles and stag beetles, spiders and centipedes also make an appearance, with detailed explanations about their ecology and characteristics.
This special exhibition also offers exclusive experiences, such as rare specimens that are seldom seen by the public and displays accompanied by researchers' commentary.
If you are already interested, we highly recommend closely observing the real specimens and enjoying the in-depth explanations from a researcher's perspective. This is a valuable opportunity to feel the world of insects much closer to you.
