The "Kanoya Summer Festival" is an event that represents the summer of Kanoya City. The "So-odori," where groups of dancers parade through the city to the lively rhythms of the Hanya-bushi with its rich southern atmosphere, is truly impressive. Towards the end of the festival, fireworks are launched from three locations within the city. On August 2nd (Friday) from 17:30, a pre-festival will be held at Kanoya City Central Park.
