MYSTERY OF TUTANKHAMEN
MYSTERY OF TUTANKHAMEN/ミステリー・オブ・ツタンカーメン~体感型古代エジプト展~
It has been more than 100 years since archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamun in 1922. Ancient Egyptian civilization continues to be actively researched and excavated, with new findings emerging one after another.
This exhibition, supervised by Egyptian archaeologist Shojo Kawae, is an interactive experience that unravels the mysteries of Tutankhamun, one of the world's most famous kings. Akhenaten and his family, who forcefully spearheaded the religious reform from polytheism to monotheism, were long erased from history. As a result, his son, King Tutankhamun, remains shrouded in many enigmas to this day.
The venue features more than 130 super replicas—one of only three sets in the world—along with a full recreation of Tutankhamun's tomb, immersive projections, and CG scans made from the actual golden mask and throne, combining analog and digital technologies for an extraordinary immersive experience. Reflecting on Tutankhamun's short life, let yourself be transported back to Egypt 3,000 years ago!
