The 60th Matsuyama Yakyuken Dance

第60回 松山野球拳おどり

The "Matsuyama Yakyuken Dance," a symbol of summer in Matsuyama since 1966, will be held again this year!

Yakyuken is a type of traditional Japanese parlor game commonly played at parties, characterized by songs and dances that incorporate baseball movements.
The Matsuyama Yakyuken Dance is a street festival dance based on Yakyuken, where participants from various groups dress in attractive costumes inspired by baseball and parade through five venues in Matsuyama City, performing their routines. The dance music ranges from the traditional Yakyuken rhythm to songs arranged by participants, offering a variety of styles. Enjoy the opportunity to experience creative and unique dances.

Celebrating its notable 60th anniversary, we look forward to welcoming many visitors and participants!
