The Hikarimaruyama Grand Festival (Dai Ennichi) is a winter festival held at Hikarimaruyama Horinji Temple in Ōtawara City, Tochigi Prefecture. Sarutahiko, wearing a tengu mask, parades around the temple praying for health. This unique parade is a major attraction for spectators. The festival features many areas where you can experience local culture and history. Stalls offer traditional Japanese cuisine, and there are also handicrafts and local specialties for sale.
