Bamboo Memorial (Cancer Prevention Summer Festival)

On June 23rd, Daian-ji Temple holds the annual "Bamboo Memorial" and "Cancer Prevention Summer Festival". On this day, cancer prevention prayers start from early morning, and the temple's specialty, bamboo leaf sake, is served. The Bamboo Memorial at 1 p.m. features shakuhachi flute performances, special sermons, and many other events.

Transportation：From JR or Kintetsu Nara Station, take a bus for 10 minutes towards Daianji, Shirotsucho, and Sharp Mae, get off at the "Daianji" bus stop, then walk 8 minutes.
Price：Free exploration of the precincts, 500 yen for prayer and bamboo leaf sake, prayer fees starting from 3,000 yen.
