The festival takes place at Koiji Coast, centered around Benten Island. At Koiji Coast, where a legend of love is told, it is said that the origin of the festival lies in lighting bonfires on the beach on summer nights every year to console spirits. Amidst the fireworks called "Aburamono," the sight of kiriko lanterns being carried into and illuminated within the sea is truly magical.
