The festival starts at 10 a.m., and after the large parade with the whale mikoshi, the morning session ends with the distribution of lucky red and white rice cakes and sweets. In the afternoon session, karaoke begins at 3 p.m., followed by entertainment and a song show at 5 p.m., and a dance performance by the Mie High School Dance Club. The festival finale features about 30 minutes of fireworks.
