This event is held to honor the bravery and legacy of Uesugi Kenshin, the renowned warlord of the Sengoku era. Marking the milestone 100th installment, the celebrated actor Ken Matsudaira, known for his roles in period dramas and the popular 'Matsuken Samba', will appear as Uesugi Kenshin. The festival features realistic recreations like the 'Buteishiki' (the ceremony of raising signal fires and sending Kenshin out to battle), the 'Shutsujin Gyoretsu' (procession of warriors in armor), and the reenactment of the legendary Battle of Kawanakajima, captivating spectators with the grandeur and excitement reminiscent of a Sengoku picture scroll.
