It is held separately in the Takada and Naoetsu districts, and one portable shrine connects the two areas. In the Takada district, there are a festival eve, mikoshi procession, bold mikoshi shrine entrance, grand folk dance parade, and mikoshi river crossing. In the Naoetsu district, there are mikoshi river crossing, grand fireworks display, mikoshi procession, float parade, grand folk dance parade, and rice offering ceremonies.
