Tamura Shrine Lantern Festival
田村神社 万灯祭
This summer festival was founded to console the spirit of the enshrined deity, Lord Sakanoue no Tamuramaro, and to honor his achievements.
The precincts are decorated with approximately 9,000 lanterns donated by parishioners and devotees, enveloping the area in a fantastic atmosphere.
Place：Tamura Shrine
Transportation：Public Transportation JR Kusatsu Line: get off at Kibukawa Station, then take a 30-minute bus to Tamura Shrine. By Car Approximately 40 minutes from the Meishin Ryuo IC. Parking 1,000 regular car spaces
