The 56th (2025) Jantokoi Uozu Festival

The largest event in Uozu City is held every year from the first Friday to Sunday of August.
Centered around the dynamic and heroic "Tatemon Festival" (Giant Lanterns) of Suwa Shrine, various festivities take place.
The "Tatemon Festival" is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. In addition, a fireworks display over the sea and the unique "Serikomi Choroku Dance" performed with improvised songs enliven the summer nights.
