Summer Shrine Visit: Tanabata Wind Chime Festival & Milky Way Tour

夏詣 七夕風鈴祭・天の川巡り
At Gosen Hachiman Shrine, the “Tanabata Wind Chime Festival and Milky Way Walk” is a festival boasting one of the largest scales in the region, with around five thousand Japanese and international wind chimes dedicated throughout the shrine grounds. Crystal glass local wind chimes, as well as wind chimes from both Japan and abroad, are gathered together, allowing visitors to enjoy the diverse tones and scenery of various wind chimes. Within the grounds, there is a traditional experience corner where visitors can write their wishes on wooden plaques (tanzaku), and at the same time, an Umbrella Sky inspired by the Milky Way is held. During the day, colorful umbrellas add vividness to the scene, while at night, the lighting creates an extraordinary atmosphere. For a limited time, unique sights and experiences are offered here, such as the crystal glass Gosen Hachiman wind chimes and magical illuminations. When you visit, we highly recommend that you write your wish on a tanzaku, dedicate it to your own wind chime, and slowly enjoy the cool sounds under the nighttime, illuminated Milky Way Umbrella Sky.
