Hanawa Ten Festival

The Hanawa Ten Festival is a special festival designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan, held at Matsubara Temple. This festival originates from the legend of Chokai Shonin and possesses a unique blend of Shinto and Buddhist elements. Local children perform dances which instill a sense of pride and tradition in the visiting spectators. The highlight of the festival is the region-specific dance that captivates the audience. Furthermore, participants have the opportunity to engage with local history and gain a deeper understanding of the festival's essence through special events and programs.
